Metal casting is a kind of manufacturing process by which a melted liquid is poured into a mold, and then obtained the parts with desired shape and performance after cooling and solidification. Features of Metal Casting
1. Iron casting uses a large number of scrap metals, and it does not use pig iron, so the casting cost can be decreased.
2. Iron investment castings can obtain molten iron with low phosphorus content, reducing the influences on gray iron shrinkage and leakage defect.
3. This iron casting process can avoid hereditary influence of pig iron.
4. Metal casting has good graphite morphology, high pearlite content as well as good mechanical properties.
